December has arrived and ’tis the season for libations and festivities! It’s also the season for the awkward family get-togethers, and a cheeky kiss from hairy Auntie Mary.  Here’s your rescue guide to get out and about, and enjoy the holidays on the Ale Trail!

Every year Oast House Brewers holds their Holiday Hoedown, and this year is no different! From 5pm- 11pm on December 23rd, enjoy live music, great beer, and a festive group of people.

Christmas Eve at The Merchant Ale House is the place to be! Unwind with a pint of craft beer, listen to local musicians, and meet up with friends. And then on New Year’s Eve, you can catch the The Vance Van Zandt Dance Band live from 11pm – 2am!

For another New Year’s option, Lock St. Brewery is having a family-friendly celebration! Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids, and promises to be a fantastic time.

Over in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Exchange Brewery is holding Ugly Christmas Sweater Yoga on December 9th at 10am. Tickets are $35 per person and includes your yoga mat, class, and a 6-beer flight. You can also celebrate NYE at Exchange, with their Beer Pairing Dinner & Countdown Celebration. Tickets can be purchased on their website.

Of course, breweries are a great place to host your own holiday party and buy gifts for everyone on your list!  Get in touch with your favourite Ale Trail brewery, and celebrate the season with great craft beer!

Cheers, & happy holidays!
