Summer in St. Catharines is the perfect time to explore more! Sun seekers and nature lovers flock to parks and patios and the sandy shores of Lake Ontario.

Historic Port Dalhousie- home of Lakeside Park… yes, that Lakeside Park offers a view across the lake to downtown Toronto, a beautiful beach, a historic carousel and a pier a kilometre long, perfect for getting those steps in before settling in for an afternoon of sipping in Lock Street Brewery’s spacious biergarten. Check out their social channels for the latest live music and evening entertainment updates. There is no need to cook this summer when you can enjoy a flight of the newest craft offerings and grab a bite from oddbird.Xpress. Locals Love the Jalapeno Cheesy fried chicken sandwich with a side of Tator tots!

The north end of St. Catharines is known for its’ waterfront trails and the modern-day version of the historic Welland Canal, which links Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. Year-round residents and visitors walk, jog, and bike kilometres of paved pathways alongside the canal. In the warmer months, activity levels heat up, and “sipping” or “sip-seeing” is not just an activity but a way of life. One of the newer craft breweries in St. Catharines, Dragan Brewing and Wine Company is only a few blocks from the canal side trail. Founded in 2019, Dragan is the perfect stop for a pint on their patio; tucked away on a quiet street, it’s the ultimate place to relax and unwind with a pint of their Easy Ale and enjoy a charcuterie board with friends.

From waterfront trails to ale trails, north end St. Catharines has your hydration stations ready for all seasons. Join us on the Niagara Ale Trail, where you can discover over 25 craft breweries, cider producers and craft beverage inspirations to fill your glass.
